# 1 Myth about Recruiting Firms

Heartfelt gratitude to all Veterans
On this 11th day of the 11th month in this 2011th year, particularly during this 11th hour – on Veterans Day – all of us at JK Consultants send our heartfelt thank you to all the brave men and women who have served and are serving in the American Armed Forces. We honor you on this Veteran’s Day with our gratitude and prayers for your service and countless sacrifices, including the ultimate sacrifice, to protect countries, people and freedoms.
Some interesting facts about Veterans Day:
– On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, Germany and the Allies signed a cessation of hostilities along the Western Front; this set the stage for the end to the First World War.
– On November 11, 1919, the first Armistice Day was celebrated in order to commemorate the end of World War I and to honor the veterans of World War 1.
– In 1954 Armistice Day became known as “Veterans Day” as a result of legislation signed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. The name was changed to honor all who served the nation in wars or conflicts.
“Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation or any nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure. We are met on a great battlefield of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field as a final resting-place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
But in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow this ground. The brave men, living and dead who struggled here have consecrated it far above our poor power to add or detract.
